Isolation and Identification of Bacterial Species Associated with Cow Milk Sold in Some Selected Areas of Bauchi Metropolis, Bauchi State, Nigeria

Milk is well known to be a balanced diet with high nutritional values. Conversely, milk and products may serve as potential substrates for the growth proliferation of range bacteria which in turn fatally influences public health concerns. The study was conducted 50 samples collected from apparently healthy cows during period isolation, identification bacterial isolate based on their morphology, staining, cultural, biochemical properties gram staining ascertain identity. results indicated that Staphylococcus aureus (34.58 %) has highest occurrence, followed by Bacillus cereus (19.64 %), Escherichia coli (15.89 Salmonella typhi (13.08 Pseudomonas aerugnosa (7.94 Klebsiella pneumonia (5.14 %). In comparison, Enterobacter most minor occurrence at (3.74 presence these organisms could attributed dirty unkempt behaviour milking process, handling storing, will impose serious hazards immediate community consumers. To reduce risk associated organisms, all personal hygiene measures materials involved process should sterilised free any form before final approach.
